Alpha
The ALPHA Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian Faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. ALPHA provides opportunity for small group sharing where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.

Altar
Servers
Altar Servers are young men and women who assist at the Altar during the Sacred Liturgy. While Servers mostly come from among the young, this ministry is not limited. Some adults choose to function along with their sons or daughters.

CCD
Religious Education Program for Children
CCD is a program of Religious Instruction for children, grades 1-8, who attend Public School. Children and youth are encouraged to remain in the program after reception of the Sacraments of Initiation so that they may deepen their faith in the Christian Life. CCD is taught by Instructors certified through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. CCD classes take place each Tuesday. There are two sessions: one at 4:30pm and the second at 6:30pm.

Choir
The Adult traditional choir meets each Thursday evening for practice. Any adult with a reasonably good voice is cordially invited to be a member. This choir sings under the direction of Mr. John Raab. The 10:30am Mass on Sunday is the "choir Mass".
The Good News Contemporary Choir sings at the Saturday Vigil Mass at 5:15pm on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The Good News Choir practices each Wednesday at 7:30pm. Mr. Joe Kelly directs.
The Children's Choir, also under the direction of Mr. Raab, sings alternate Sundays at 10:30am. They practice on Thrusday at 6:00pm

CYO-Catholic
Youth Organization
Catholic Youth Organization is a comprehensive youth sports program that is governed by Parish Guidelines adapted from the guidelines of the Archdiocesan CYO Programs. An adult board oversees the activities throughout the year and moderates fundraising for activities. The CYO endeavors to teach sportsmanship within the context of Catholic values.

Room
The Day Room is a social service outreach program sponsored by the parish. It exists solely on donations. A breakfast and lunch is provided Monday - Friday, a food pantry is available for emergency situations, and a Nurses' clinic operates Saturday 10:00-12 Noon and on Monday and Wednesday 4:00-6:00pm. All services are free.

Ministers
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are men and women who have reached the age of 18, are practicing Catholics and people of good reputation who assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at regularly scheduled Masses. They also assist at Chester County Hospital and our health care institutions.

Knights
of Columbus
While not a parish group as such, is a fraternal order of Catholic Men who are in good standing with the Church. Our local Council is the Msgr. Schuyler Council #1333. The Council Home is located on Market Street. The K of C is a fraternal, Patriotic and Charitable order founded by Father Michael McGivney in 1892. See the web site for more information.

Lectors
Lectors are men and women, pracicing Catholics who proclaim the Sacred Scriptures at Liturgical functions. All prospective lectors are trained on site before officially being called upon to read at Mass.

Legion
of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a Catholic organization that gathers weekly to pray together. They are also challenged to complete apostolic works. The Legion of Mary meets each Thursday at 7:00pm.

Men's Bible Study
Men's Bible Study gathers each Friday morning at 6:30am in the Thomas Patrick Hall. Reflection and prayer are always based the Sunday Scripture texts of the next weekend.

of Sanctuary and Altars
Ministry of Altar and Sanctuary can be men or women who take care of the appointments in the sanctuary and handle the decorations.

Pastoral
Council
The Parish Pastoral Council meets at least six times a year under the direction of the pastor to specifically look at the pastoral vision of the parish. Members are elected for a term of three years. Some members are appointed. Others are on the Council ex-officio. The PPC meets on designated Tuesdays at 7:00pm.

Pre-Cana
Pre-Cana are married couples who work under the direction of one of hte priests to provide pre-nuptial sessions for couples who are planning Catholic Marriage. The Pre-Cana sessions are given twice a year (usually in the Spring and Fall), on a Saturday. The day begins in the morning and concludes with the Saturday 5:15pm Mass. An Engagement Blessing is given at the concluding Mass.

RCIA
- Rite of Christian Initiation
RCIA is just what the letters stand for - Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - adults who either wish to enter the Catholic Church or who wish to complete their entry into the Church. RCIA meets each Thursday at 7:00pm and each Sunday morning. A new RCIA Program begins each September.

Respect
Life Committee
Respect Life Committee prays and works on behalf of the sanctity of human life. The Mass for God's Precious Infants is celebrated the first Saturday of each month at 8:00am and is followed by a Rosary Procession and Vigil to the Planned Parenthood Offices of West Chester.

Scouts
Catholic Scouting offers programs for boys and girls of all ages. The highlight of the Scouting Year is the Blue and Gold Banquet each year and the bestowal of the Eagle Scout Award every February.

Bible Study

Ministry
Youth Ministry covers many areas. It is the gathering of parish youth under the direction of a certified Youth Minister. Meetings include prayer and sharing, fun and games, food and good company. Programs are offered to high school age youth, and junior high, grades 6-7-8. Meetings are on Sunday evenings.
